Both my doors are knackered on my 206, OSF had a dent/crease in the front and the NSF has a big scratch and some bad paintwork all along it. Now i know i could have filled and fixed the doors and got them resprayed but it worked out cheaper to get a couple of second hand replacements.

I have the replacement doors in my garage and was planning to fit them tomorrow. Looking at the doors and how they fit, am i right in thinking ill need to lossen the front wings in order to get to the bolts for the door hinges?

I would have thought there was a simpler way but it doesnt look like its possibel to get a socket on the bolts unless the wings are lossened/taken off?

My plan was to use a trolley jack under the door to support the weight. I might just wait and get a mate to help.

Im still not sure if the wing needs to come off to fit?

I never took the wing of.

Its easier with a 2nd person holding the door, undo the bottom hinge 1st & refit last.

Does the replacement door come with the hinges still attached?

Good idea to also threadlock the bolts on refitting.

Yeah hinges are still on the replacement doors, thats why i wasnt sure if i needed to refit with wings off.
So if i unbolt the Dorr Check strap first and then the door will open more, i can just unbolt the hinges from the door rather than the car?

Leave the hinges on the door & just undo the torx screw that secures the hinge to the car instead.

You can then adjust the door for final fit after its attached.

Yeah the problem seesm to be that i cant get to the torx bolts. if i look at my current doors, i open them and there doesnt appear to be enough clearance as the bolts for the hinges that attach to the body of the car sit just behind the wing, not by much but enough that i dont think ill be able to get a torx driver in there.

Are you using bit/adapter/ratchet handle?
If so, maybe an "Allen-key style" key, with torx head instead of hexagonal, would be easier to get in there?
