Any idea why my rev counter flicks a few times when I unlock the car?
Once the BSI sleeps and I turn the ignition on it also does it.
This then makes the rev counter over read

My 1.1L did this too, I'm intrigued to know the answer! Never affected the guages but it was strange.
On a side note; is your rev counter off by 500rpm? Mine was at zero in the position before start.

Looks as though you need to take the needle off and re adjust it.
