Now I've done a little research and come to the conclusion that the crank pully is on it's way out. I've took a quick video just to see what you think. How much of a job is it to replace? Also just driving home my speedo just died. Only the speed dropped to 0mph While all els was working.

Definitely on its way out. Your tensioner pulley seems to have a fair amount of movement as well

Yeah I wasn't sure if the Crank shaft pulley was making the tensioner move, or should that still be solid?

Should be solid. I'd change that as well. Also new belt wouldn't hurt

Pulley has a rubber centre ... that breaks up and you get a clonking sound ...

Swap out the water pump while you are doing belts ... it's driven off the cam belt too.

No tips apart from take your time and double, triple check everything. It's easier than the 138bhp twin cam if that's any consolation and I've done both! Bit more room for your hands in the 1.4hdi bay too.

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

No that's what I was thinking. The aux belt runs the a/c, power steering and alternator right?

Well I managed to put a new pulley on this afternoon and we'll the sound is gone!

Was a really easy job didn't take long at all. I managed to borrow the local garages impact gun. Cost just over 100 for the pulley and belt. Thanks

I didn't get the tensioner in the end. There wasn't any play in it or in any of the pulleys for that matter.
