Hello. So after being on here for a little while i have decided to make a thread for my car/project.
I hope you will enjoy this to read.
Remember this is my car and what i have done i like so far. there's a few things i'm not happy about and i'm trying to currently sort out.

I have owned this car since 2008
So the car 2005 206 2.0 hdi sport

Started life as we all no as good old trusty 90 bhp and 205 nm.
Then i ruined it some might say........il let you decided, Enjoy .

So this is the earliest pictures i have of the car after a good wash and polish. at standard height and nothing done to it apart from a cd player.

This stayed like this for some time but i always planned to put extra things on the car for example a remap and lower it but i could never afford it.

First thing i Did was put a custom built Stainless steal Cat back system from a company Called MIJ. this made the car feel slightly more free and made it feel a little more lively ( i have pictures later on in the project)

So after a few years of having it the head gasket decided to go on me and it was drinking water so i stoped going out and started saving so i could afford to get it done.

Here is a few pictures. What a mess :]

Head after it had been looked at skimmed and pressure tested.

Nice shot with the cam in and the car slowly coming back together:]

So after that it felt some what better :] Pulled a bit more and just felt smoother in its self.

I then added a Quick shift from griffiths.
What a royal pain in the a**e to set up.
for around 20 pound i couldn't complain tho

Next thing was I wanted a disc axle on the rear instead of drums.
Looked around for a little while and one poped up on ebay.
Gti 180 axle 220 pound. Looked at the location 30 mile away.
I rang the guy up and asked about it and he was really honest with me and said come over and have a look.
So an hour later oneof my best mates Andy and I were on our way over and an hour later we returned with a Gti 180 axle.

This then sat in his garden for about a month and i came in to some money and Bought my Self these:

Yes you got it Group N Bilstein B8 dampers ( the shortened version) and 35 mm Eibach lowering springs.

So all this went on together. We were a bit worried about the extra arm on the axle catching the exhaust but we were lucky and it did not.
So all set up drove it round for a few hours and what a difference it made So much more solid in the corners Just felt really good. I was so happy with my buy.

The drum axle was sold for 160 pound to a lad who was racing a 206 on rally stages so i basically got my axle for 20 pound Very Happy

I only have this picture at this stage

A few weeks after i decided to do this.

Quick cheap easy mod and it just looks so much better. The light out put is very very poor tho but i hardly use my fog lights unless its really bad fog.

A few pictures before i put the fogs in of me parked out side work.

Beading

A few with some Halford specials ( Extreme vision 150% more light )

So on to the next thing.
I was sat at home looking at Ebay and i come across Pro steve.
So i mailed him and grilled him for about a month and he answered all my questions and worries. ( Sorry Steve and thanks again)
He said stage one was good for 125 bhp and 275 nm of torque.
So i bit the bullet and bout a galletto. I downloaded my ECU and sent it to Steve who said he would be in contact as soon as possible.
After a few hours i still hadn't heard anything and was starting to get a bit worried.
Ten minutes later Steve emails me.
Sorry mate iv had to un jumble your ECU as its one of the newer ones. here's the file Upload it go for a spin and email me back ,

So nervous times as i upgraded the stage one file with the killed off EGR through software. Pump primes i smile.
I chuck the lap top in the house and go off down the road in the village.
Seems a bit more lively i was thinking. But no where to open it up.
SO i headed out towards town and as soon as i hit the 60 sign in third put my foot down.
Loads of black smoke pluming out the back but bloody hell it was flying the grin on my face as i looked in the mirror should have cracked it Very Happy The map even changed the note of the exhaust and it sounds like a petrol not a diesel. under 3k revs its normal over 3k it comes on sing :]
The black smoke soon cleared and i went back home packed everything up and went from a drive, The feeling was amazing the car was so much more alive all the way through the rev range such a transformation.

I mailed Steve back and said how happy i was and i would be back for a stage two at some point.

Took a couple of mates out in it and they were really surprised and they never stopped smiling also.

I added a black diamond stage2 klutch to the mixture and it caused me nothing but trouble. It slipped worse than the orignal one. i rang them and they said it would take 3 weeks to "BED IN".
I was so angry with them as it does not state this on there website.
After 3 weeks it was still slipping so i rang them again and they said the car must be over there torque rating.

While the clutch was being done i Added:
Group N Gear linkages By Pug1off
Group N Engine mounts for the GTI By Pug1off
Short shift By compbrake.

Quickshift:

What a transformation this made. Gear changes are so much better now and the car feels solid.
Two weeks later I had to change the lower engine mount back to a powerflex as the bottom mount was 2 hard and shook the car far to much. its so much better now :]

Shortly after this i met Andrew a member off the forum as he organised a rolling road meet at HML down bromsgrove. Kept in contact with him and met him for rolling road day. A few cars went on, loads of happy owners with there results.
My turn. Hamish took my keys, drove the car in to the workshop and strapped it down. Heart in my mouth he put the car slowly through the gears and into forth. and then let the dyno read and away we go. this is the st time someone else has drove it since its been mapped and i get this tingling feeling down my spine as i can hear what it sounds like for the 1st time on the outside of the car.
The run ends and he smiles jumps out and gives me my results.................... 120BHP and 292NM. I well happy with that!!!!

Next i decided it was time to get the rear lowered so i had a look around and found a company called IM axle. they said they would Recon the axle and lower it for me.
So i took this opportunity to Polybush everything on the rear end :]
So i drove over to IM and watched them strip and re build my 180 axle was a really interesting day and after lowering it and putting it back on the car it was about 6 hours later. this is what the rear end now looked like.

30mm lower (Car was covered from driving up there lane Very Happy )

The rear end looked muchhhhh better :] but i was faced with a small problem.

The rear was now lower than the front and the handling was rubbish. i felt like i was on ice in the wet and it wasn't great in the dry too.
So i adapted mt driving and got use to how it was as i didn't have any money to fork out for more springs.

The nimrods come next.
Ebay again.
Stating they were refurbished and had brand new tyres.
i bought them.

They arrived a week before the mot and by god i needed them as it would fail on the old tyres.
As i opened them my heart sank they were really not in good condition.
but i was stuck in a rutt as i needed them so decided to keep them. this is what they looked like on the car not to bad. look at that arch gap in the front tho Razz

SNOW lots of Snow and its like January and snowing.......what the hell.
My car in the Snow

Slightly off topic why not make the best of the snow. my mate had a metro GTA roll caged up bucket seats full harness.

let me see Metro + roll cage + snow = fun.
Till you get stuck.
3 nights on the trot we were out in it :] bloody brilliant time speeding along doing 50 in the snow. till we got real stuck and had to abandon it. we had to walk 8 miles in snow which was taller than my self drifts higher than the telegraph poles to the nearest village and get a taxi back at 4:30 in the morning. not fun when you keep sinking in to the waist and falling over. any ways a few pictures i cant put the videos on as there's to much swearing involved Razz

I miss that metro......he sold it after the snow had gone.

Any way back to it. after being out late that night i had work the next day.
And this happend on works carpark..........GUTTED did not cover it.

Yes the ice had got me :/ i smashed the rim and it was sitting all wrong.
What have i done now just my bloody luck.

1st the s***ty alloys
2nd Getting stuck in the snow and having to leave the rally car
3rd crashing the 206.

They say it comes in 3's.
From what i could see the roll bar was bent and the wishbone. S**t.

So new wish bones

New Anti roll bar off a Gti 180 that had done 26 k miles Very Happy

50mm Eibach springs Very Happy Finally

And loads and loads of polybushes :]

Everything is polybushed now.

Few pictures of damage and repairs :]

Very Happy

As you can see the diffrence between old and new:

Oooooops :

Few of the car:

Decided to Heat wrap the Exhaust also. Why because i can :]

A couple of days after that. I decided the car looked nice as it was low

BUT (there's always a BUT) the wheels looked to far in so i decied to buy these 20mm delta Mics

OOOOO Random picture from a window at work

So the car went from looking like it was top heavy

To this

Please excuse the dirty car as it hadn't been washed in ageeees.
Over the next few weeks it was back and foward to the workshop where i ended up buying and fitting some 6000k HID's.

Which i think suit the car.
And also messing around with a JDM intercooler i had bought in earlier on in the year. ( Shame i have no money to fit this item Sad )

I think it will look good if it ever gets put in, Also got a few cool shots.

So being to Busy playing with other stuff I forgot to go and get the Car tracked.

D**K
I ruined a set of tyres in a bout 2 weeks.
So i booked in with demon tweeks in Wrexham and had that done and 2 new tyres put on :]

So i have a filthy car........
So dirty i decided to contact Andrew Southall who i have become really good mates with off here and see pretty much every two weeks.
His a pic of me and him chilling together :]

So Andrew Owns a company called APS Valeting and Detailing :]
www.facebook.com/APSVa...ngServices

So we got talking and he said he would do me an enhancement Detail on my car.
This is normally a 2 day thing but as Andrew and I live about 30 mile from each other its a difficult thing to leave the car with him.
So he said he would do it over a 10 hour period.
So i plodded on down to his Garage early on one morning and we cracked on with it. It ended up being a 12 hour detail and i kid you not this lad no's his stuff.
Words can not even touch on how much this car changed from him caressing the paint work of the 206.
He also debadged the boot lid just leaving the Peugeot lion and the HDI badge :]

So hear is the results and some pictures i took. There not the greatest but you can clearly see.
Also there is an album with the work he has done on my car on his website

www.facebook.com/media...amp;type=3

50/50
www.facebook.com/media...amp;type=3

50/50

The mad man himself :]

And again

Another 50/50. Check out the swirls and no swirls :]

Bit of flake pop

Reflection

The car after

Two of my fav pictures from the day

If you want your car looking good give this guy a call :]
He is a star and does it a decent money to work :]

So a few days after i gave it a wash and quick detail.
here is the results on a sunny day :]

My Favourite

A couple of dawn shots in the compound where i park my car :]

Beads anybody??

How it is currently sitting.

A simple mod i have done as i love green is sprayed the strip in the honeycomb grille green, this was done between Pugfest and French car show :]

So Pugfest 13 French car show 13 and Trax 13 i attended all three events and loved every minute.
I'm only putting a few pictures up as there are far to many. So in order @

PUGFEST :

I booked my self 2 runs up the hill.
I wish i booked more i loved every Second of it and i think Andrew did also.
UZ got some really mint pictures of me :] Thank you mate

So we timed the run and my quickest was 1 minute dead.
not bad i think :]

Next up was french car show.
Four of us went stayed in a premier inn was a right laugh.
took the car on a parade lap. hit Bristol and Bath all in a weekend :]

The night before Bristol City and a bit of Banksy i think :]

Creeping :]

We hit Bath one night to go dancing as one of the lads teaches it back up home in Shrewsbury so we decided to find his club and went :]

We ended Up going to the chill out day on the Sunday and we ended up chatting to some people from the C2 club and had a nice afternoon, I got some photos on the sunday :]

I bought this at FCS as it was at discounted price Smile
Its also got a boss and a Group N quick release system.

I want to swap the Boss for an Omp one as it has a cover to go over where the Boss meets the Cowling on the drivers collum.

Any way the last show of last year.
TRAX:

I enjoyed this show just a shame it rained really.
I didnt take to many pictures.
So a few.

In the morning at a mates after a quick wash,
I also borrowed His Peugeot Sport compromotive tarmac alloys with Khumo semi slicks tyres :] I think they suit the car really well :]

Quing to get in :]

Picture by Adrian Flux which im Chuffed about as they insure me :]
And i was lucky Enough to get Tickets and a pass to chill with the French Uk boys and be on a stand and not in a car park Very Happy

And that's your little lot from Trax.

Since then not alot has changed as money is really really tight.
Iv done a bit of interior work but its still under development so il keep that under lock and key for now :]
I have plans but we will have to see what happens.

A overview of what i have done.

Polished inlet manifold
Piper cross panel filter
De EGR complete removal from engine and also software from ECU
Cat back stainless steel exhaust system from MIJ with oval tip ( Heat wrapped by me)
Pro Steve remap stage 1 dyno proven 120 bhp and 292 Nm

GTI 180 rear axel refurbished by IM axel lowered 35 mm
GTI 180 front and rear anti roll bars
Whole car is super pro poly bushed out apart from gear box mountings to engine ( not got around to doing this)
Cotten real lower engine mount also super pro and large rear engine mount power flex
Group N Gti/Hdi engine mounts by pug one off.
Group N linkages (Steel ones)
Comp brake quick shift ( needs work )
Lightened fly wheel ( was 10 kilo now is only 6 Smile )
Black diamond stage 2 Kevlar clutch kit ( Utter crap and crap customer service)
Black diamond grooved discs.
Steel rally lower engine tray
Team heko wind defelectors

Oreca steering wheel with boss and Group N Quick release.
Nimrods in BMW Graphite grey ( really need a refurb as the lad I had them off lied to me about a earlier refurb and they were scuffed to sh*t)
20mm spacers all around
Gutter strips in Matt black (need re doing)
Fogs split and masked
Honeycomb grille with Tara rover green lip
Pioneer CD player.

I'm sure I have forgotten something to much to remember Razz

And my latest Picture Which i really like

Bit of an Update.
Okay so not posted for a while, Just got the lap top working again.
Car was off the road for a few months last yeah while i fitted a 2.2 pump.
I also bought a 1.6 fuel rail.
Intercooler was fitted but not plumbed in.
Intercooler is now sold due to lack of funds along with a few other items.
I have a fair few problems at the moment with the car.

List of need to do's
New drive shafts
new gearbox (looking for an eco final drive)
Drivers side upper engine mount has been Knocking. ( Thats a Group N one) on further inspection its actually the hole where the Mount go's. I think where it screws into has broken.
Radio has been removed for now.
Iv made a loom for a boost gauge, oil pressure gauge and volt meter.
Purchased a flange to make a new Down pipe from the turbo to mate with my MIJ exhaust.

News on MPG,Stage one remap, returned 166 miles to a quarter of a tank. thats On BP ultimate and driving normally :]
I added an Oil cooler last year. a mocal one for a 180 with a thermo plate which is a cracking bit of equiptment even when thrashing it iv not had the fans come on even in this warm weather.

Iv also bought a second hand diff.
It needs a set of new planet gears but i cant afford to get them at the moment even at cost..........
Main reason for lack of updates.
Stress from work.
I now have a contract thank god, so i have time to my self :]
