Hi, I have a 2.0 HDi. I few months back the clutch went and had to get it replaced. According to the invoice they replaced the clutch, guide tube and clutch fork.

Since then there's been a huge vibration from the engine when on the bite, particularly in the lower gears.

I took it back to the place that replaced the clutch for them to check. They assured me that it's nothing to do with that and they reckoned it was the engine mounts that are causing the problem. Took it for an MOT yesterday though and the guy said it could be a cylinder (can't remember which!) or damper. Seems odd to me that it was fine before the clutch was replaced.

Has anyone got any better ideas on this or what I should do to get it sorted?

Cheers in advance.

Just a thought...Does your car have a dual-mass clutch system?
If so it could be the dual mass plate, like I say..it's just a thought.

Honestly, I wouldn't have a clue! I'd have to ask when it's in for a service I guess.

No it wont have a duel mass flywheel. I would check your engine mounts, especiually the lower mount. If they look ok then I would look into having the slave cylinder bled or replaced on the clutch. Not to hard a job.
