Update new clutch (luk ) & new pads all round .
Need a new box and drivers side driveshaft as ive gearbox leak .
Is fine for now , been damaged before i brought it .
The housing the driveshaft sits in with the plastic mph spondooly on the diff is damaged .
Ive changed the seals but the taper edge the driveshaft sits in is badly damaged .
As if the drive shaft has been pulled up into the top right of the arch and ran . Strange as there is a fixing (guide) on the bottom of the engine mount & it looks fine . Driveshafts not bent but has marks from grinding the alloy housing away .
The box holds about 1/2 a litre of fluid ..;(

If it aint broke dont fix it !

You can get that housing easily enough, and did you replace both driveshaft seals?

Colour match! I was threatened by the police !
Stated it they would arrest me for careless driving if I parked half on the path a again.
Also stated they had photo's.

Basically someone didn't want me to park out side there house. I pay my road tax & i needed to park for work + it wasn alwsys in the same place. Only 2 week job aswell .

Serious bearing fail i think in 1st & 2nd. New gearbox ordered off eBay £140 81, 000 miles on it. More than the one on the car.

I suspect damages caused form an impact(previous owner) & has created play in the diff/box..
Going to stip it down tomorrow & get ready to install the new box . Hopefully its ok .

I do get a slight torque steer. I wonder if the play in diff/box has any control over the torque steer?

Only thing I've not replaced so far is the engine & Windows.
& a few bushes. .

If it aint broke dont fix it !

Damage look like it's been pushed or pulled from the inside?
As the fragments of alloy were pushed to the outside of the housing .creating a ruff lip. I'm thinking it's internal play causing the drive shaft to move.
