Hi all, don't come on this forum often but every time i do it helps me out a lot so I hope you can offer me some advice on this guys...
Ive got a 2005 1.4 206 sport, and i was told when i first got it that the suspension will be a bit stiff as its a sports model but ive got mine on WolfRace Katana 15" alloys (everything else is stock) and the ride is pretty bloody bumpy and i can feel every grid, pothole, rough patch on the road...
Any suggestions on how to remedy this or improve it? Thicker tyres? New shocks, dampers, springs?
Also i have thought about lowering it a little, i guess this will ruin the ride more, but I'm wondering if you guys have advice for me if i do lower it then what steps shall i take to make it as comfortable as possible?
Thanks, hope you can help

Hi, I'm new here so i'll probably be corrected by the more knowledgeable members but here's my thoughts:
How much pressure do you have in the tyres if you can feel every little thing in the road? What size is the aspect ratio of those tyres?
New shock absorbers sound like a good idea as they don't seem to be doing a very good job at the moment.
Lowering will only make it stiffer, thus making it less comfortable for you. I have coilovers set super low and it might as well not have any shocks. Ran over a leaf the other day, thought I was going to flip it on its roof.

This is strange as my cheap cheap fk coilovers bottomed out are pretty dam comfortable considering i run 195 and 205/40s on 8 and 9j wheels. Probably the crap springs they supply with it tbh..
I would check your pressures and consider changing the tyre size to a larger aspect ratio
Coilovers with a soft poundage springs would also be next in line

Hi Addaz, not to hijack this thread at all but I have a question for you going off what you've stated: Do you ever catch anything? I overtook a cyclist this evening and caught the car on a cats eye. It seems to catch on the undertray or some sort of chassis bolt. Has this happened to you?
