Hi,
I have a 2005 Peugeot 206 1.4 DOHC which has suddenly started running on only 3 cylinders. Initial fault codes showed coil pack failure and injector number 3 failure. I have changed the coil pack and fitted new spark plugs which has cleared the P1339 code but P0268 remains.i have also tried an injector cleaner in the fuel but it looks as though I will have to get my hands dirty. Can I get access to the injectors with the engine still in the car ? I have an unhelpful Haynes manual which shows pictures on a removed engine. Looks a bit tight to get the manifold off but can it be done please ? Any tips would be gratefully received.

I'd swap the injector to another cylinder and see if the fault code changes.

A good idea, but can I remove the injectors without stripping out the inlet manifold ?

The inlet manifold has to come off I believe. there's enough space in the engine bay to remove it. No need to remove engine

Well that was un petit cochon. Tres fiddly but managed to remove the manifold, fuel rail and get to the injector. All injector electrical readings are 14 ohms. I will change number 3 in case it is sticking but not convinced this is what is throwing the code. All connections OK and continuity good.

Have you swapped 2 injectors over to see if the code moves with it. I would suggest that you swap number 2 with number 3, only reason is it prevents you getting the wrong number 3

No, I didn't fancy struggling to put the inlet manifold and everything else back only to have to strip it all out again. I put a new injector into number 3, tested all the wiring and it works perfectly.
