Afternoon chaps ! After some advice please Smile I need to replace my air-con compressor as the bearings in the pully has gone causing a horrible graunching noise and consequently a horrible belt squeal. Anyway I feel I am compitant enought to change it ect.... Other than de-gassing the system prior the job. I know I could get a professional to do it for a small charge but I like to save a bit of money and do it myself. I see there is a valve leading to the condensor bottle, would this be the answer ? As you can tell I have no clue about air conditioning as I have never has such luxeries before, ha ! Oh and the motor itself is a 206 sw verve, 2006. Any advice would be greatly appreciate ! Many thanks, Eddie Smile

100% agree there. Find someone who will do an aircon regas (preferably an independent garage in my experience) and tell them you want a regas but could they drain it a few days before. If you're lucky they won't charge any extra and they might even test for leaks before you refill it which can save a bit of cash in the long run
