AFAIK ALL 206s have a BSI, but there are 2 different types of electrical systems,
1) traditional, lots of wires, often callen pre-plex - earlier 206s
2) multiplex. Some wiring reduced to a 2-wire series bus sending messages between things like BSI, ECU, instrument cluster etc. - newer 206s

Change-over year is - of course - 2001. Look at the stereo remote stalk - long and slim -> pre-plex, short and blocky -> multiplex.

Or since you've been swapping clusters - pre-plex has 2 connectors and lots of bulbs accessible at the back of the cluster, multiplex have only one connector and uses surface mount LED's ob the circuit board inside the cluster.

If you're multiplexed and swap clusters, the mileage will always be set to the highest of car and cluster, so if you swap in a cluster from a high mileage car, that is what it will be displayed and the car's electronics will be updated to this value as well. Then swapping in a lower mileage cluster , it will be updated to the car's higher mileage.

Rather hard to parse your post - what exactly in the cluster is working?
* Indicators - by that I take you mean left/right gren pointers, not all the indicator/alert lights like dipped/high beam, hand brake etc?
* lights - would that be the background/illumination lights?
* fuel level - does that include low level alert light, and associated message on the display?. BTW what display have you got, clock only/Single line /Multi line?
* Oil pressure gage - don't think any 206 has one, some do have oil temperature in addition to coolant temperature.
as to speed and revs, if you pop the door open while rolling, will the interior light flash?
