Hello
This is a little hard to describr but here goes...
I have a 2001 206 ecu
When I put the key in and turn it to position 2 (before engine kicks in) sometimes there is a funny noise (a tick tock motion) and the revs counter needle shakes quickly over zero. If i turn it off and start again its ok. This happened a few times.
Any ideas please?

Usually it's the noise of the servos on the digital climate control. I've had it on both of my 03 regs buy my 56 didn't do it. It's perfectly normal on the 206 apparently so nothing to worry about there:)
