Hi guys

Have to replace the gearbox oil. What brand is the Peugeot OEM ?

Im wondering if use a 75w90 castrol its ok

Check your handbook if you have it. But I used 75w90 and didn't run into any problems. This was used on my GTI 138..

I don't know much about oil, but IIRC the numbers represent how the oil reacts at different temperatures. So it's actually all dependent how you're going to drive and the outside temperature / weather

Total 75w80 just changed mine for that and it is silky smooth. Remember to change it when the oil is warm but careful not to burn your hand!!

Yeah,will use total 75w80. Can i change the oil only using a jack to lift the car? Dont know how (un)accesible is the screw to remove the oil

Yeah you can I just jacked mine up took wheel off. You can reach under the front of the car without lying under it and undo the drain nut. My advice would be to take the filler nut off first though to make sure you can fill it back up!
