I have had a "common" problem in my 2002 206 gti 16v.
My blower was on full constantly. if i start the car it blows so loud that you cant even hear a passenger talking.
I have googled it and been told to take out the blower motor and find the resistor behind it.
I have taken out my blower unit via glovebox... but i can find no resistor.
i can reach in up to my shoulder but it's a smooth tube in there, nothing protruding. I don't know what's wrong here. I have the spare resistor that's supposed to be in there, but i just can't find it.
I now have a back seat littered with head unit, glove box and contents, hazard button hood, dash clock, blower motor and a bunch of little bags of torx screws.

Climate control cars are different.
Replace the complete blower motor.
