Hi everyone so my servo was hissing, i got under the footwell and tried to push the seal back into place it stopped the hissing and all was well for 10 minutes of driving then it popped off again. I removed the servo to get a better look and the seal is stretched and doesn't slide under the lip on the servo so i slid it over the top, super glued it and applied silicone around it.

I reinstalled the servo and bled the brakes, the noise has stopped when idling but now the brakes don't work. For the first half of pressing the brakes it has no effect on stopping. Then from the middle to the floor there is some poor braking and the hissing is back from the servo. I'm aware i probably need a new servo but my question is why have the brakes stopped working. The seal is much better now than it was but the brakes don't work.

Can anyone please give me advice as I move away in a week for work and need my car to get there.

Thanks so much

Well in your earlier post, you asked about the hissing sound, and the answer was to get a replacement for it,to make the hissing sound go away, but instead you took it out to fix the seal, the reason is that you don't have brakes working anymore,is because the job done by you to the seal, which is not the correct way,or maybe the bleeding of the system was poorly done, which leaves you with air block in the system,i would take it to garage if I were you,as brake is no joke,it's related to your life and others as well.
