Hi, Which Oil should I use for a Peugeot 206 GTI 2.0 2003 (136 BHP not 180)

Im getting different answers from everywhere.

Peugeot themselves say 0-30w C3 but can use an alternative of 10-40w semi-synth, thats a big difference in oil thickness.

My mechanic says it 5-40w semi-synth, very difficult to find, can be specially ordered, but costs a small fortune.

Euro car parts say 5-30w full synth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, plus any recommendations on oil manufacturer, up until now ive mostly used Castrol Magnatec, however, they are very limited as to what they make, 10-40w or 0-30w is all I can get.
