Any help appreciated. 60,000 mile1.4 HDI 2006. Chugs on first start for a second or so then fine. Glowplugs, coolant sensor and glowplug relay have been changed by garage, fuel harness under airbox changed, fuel filter changed. EGR professionally blanked off (it did it before this as well as after). By chance I left the MAF multiplug off and the car started on the button when cold, although the management light came on. So replaced the MAF, but still the same (although it was smoother to drive at lower speeds). Been on a diagnostics machine and not showing any codes.

Bizarrely the car we part ex'd for the diesel was a 1.4 206 petrol with the exact same problem - just like it was starting on 2.5 cylinders. And that had a new coil pack, plugs, MAF, etc, which leads me to think it's something generic to both engines. Sad

Do they do a Bosch alternative? I would recommend one of those instead.

No, only that or a Hella. If this was suspect would a diagnostics scan pick it up?

Not always if it is the maf. They normally only register when the maf is dead.

And a 1.4 petrol and 1.4 diesel have little in common.

One problem I had with ours was the cat core collapsed and blocked off the exhaust. No power until I hit a bump and the cat moved!

2006 should work with standard eobd code reader but pp2000 is better.

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
