tiny update

bsi is now in the bin so more wires to be removed, lights and wipers to wire still

also took off bumpers and jet washed behind them and cleaned up the little parts involved, fog to be used as brake cooling ducts so cut away at the glass, noticed one tyre had gone flat which caused a nice big deep crack so the wheels will be sold on and new either td's pro race or 205 speedlines going for 15"

Usher how did you go about removing the bsi unit and have you had any issues with removing it, also did you remove the immobiliser and if so did you take a snap on what needed removing and does it run through the engine loom or is it separate.

been a long time i know, i pretty much went snip happy with the battery disconnected yes its de immobilized and no need for a key at all somehow only removed wires from inside the car same story with the bsi just followed wires and removed what i didnt need but with no plan to make it road worthy i didnt have to worry as anything can be wired back in thats important granted the immobilizer was a fluke lol

been a busy few years with re doin the back garden building a gym and keep on having to extend the drive for work lol, was made redundant from citylink ended up self employed for a year and a bit at yodel then left there now have 3 vans on the road doing same day deliveries all over the country also 2 boys to contend with/referee lol

not much time for the car i have removed all lugs and unnecessary lumps and bump in the cabin, got some 206 gti alloys for 50 quid well happy i waited as was looking to pay 300 years ago, they are noticeably lighter than the 17's and tyres will be alot cheaper, the dash is back in with wipers washer bottle and lights all wired in on switches just a panel to make, i have cut down the fuse box to make a tiny one with 6 or so fuses in which sits where the ashtray was,

the dials didnt work after cutting so many wires out so ordered some universal ones with sensors which still needto be put in live and negative ready in position.

i was turning it over the other week and revving some and it managed to swallow the air filter wedging it in the throttle body which resulted in oil being dumped in the inlet manifold so i have removed this for a good clean out not a big issue as probably could have done with it anyway

the air filter which was a viper had a big tear in it so i removed it all and put a round foam filter in the bottom didnt expect the car to suck that much but my stupidity going to get a ram air panel with wire mesh built in and see how that goes,

plans this year are to get the new wheels cleaned up maybe painted maybe not, haven't got the spare money at the moment, dials in and panels made for switches etc as i have all the stuff to do this, could also get the passenger seat in have that stuff waiting

pics to follow not much, try to get more as i go and maybe visit a little more often
