Hi, this is my first post here but I've used the site to find solitions a lot in the past.
Since august 2016 i've had a new clutch, gearbox, coil pack, alternator, steering collumn, suspension, hubs, anti rollbars, water pump, timing belt. Needless to say the car runs smoothly, has great throttle response and really made me fall in love with my 206.
Since last week however, as soon as a light drop of rain hits the floor my car is sliding all over the place. I've just had my nearest close call with another car, luckily i gained control damping my brakes so they dont lock up - learnt that mistake on my first crash early last year.
Before we blame the driver, when i had barey legal tires the car had no issues with slipping out, hydroplaning wasnt a problem and every time i drifted it was controlled and fun. I've bought a full set of tyres, deliberatly spending more to be safe and now im uncontrollably spinning out on nearly every roundabout unless i drive around at 10 mph, these are big roundabouts ot be going that slow on.
I've driven 30k miles since last may in this car and this has only started happening like this since last week. I'm a confident driver and this is making me on edge, i simply dont trust the car to drive in the state it's in.
All of my fluids were also topped up last week, brakes bled and changed.
Feeling hopeless at the moment, hopefully someone will know a solution.
It's not safe for me to put others at risk with how often this is becoming a problem. My wheels just spin when i pull of and turn around any corners even if im putting minimal revs on.
Other notes: New exhaust - oem, full throttle body, 2 new disks on the front, two new drums on the back - brand new. No fault codes, i often keep a reader plugged in every few drives to test bhp, revs etc to make sure everything is where it should be. Somehow pushes more bhp than its meant to, stock was 60 but it gets 64 on a good day - used several readers

So, what tires are you running on? When were they put on? Are they directional? If directional, are they mounted the right way round?
What's the state of the shock-absorbers?

The tyres will need 50-100 miles to scrub in and remove the releasing agents that are on them when they come out of the factory. Running on brand new tyres in the wet is lethal ... as you have found out.
Also the make of tyres is important .. cheap ditch-finders aren't a good idea!
You've done a lot to the suspension .. had the tracking checked/realigned?

Goodyear Efficient Grip Compact tyres work well on the smaller sized wheels used on lower powered 206s - my GFs 206 has a set of these fitted.
Im also very impressed with the Michelin Cross Climate tyres i currently have on my 206 which has slightly larger wheels.
