Hi All
I'm attempting to replace the brake lines but I'm having difficulty removing the nut that connects the flexible hose to the solid pipe.
I have a set of flare nut wrenches but I'm finding that 10mm is too small and 11mm is giving a bit of slip. Seems if I put any force into it, it going to chew up the nut.
Currently have the nut soaking in some WD40 as after 14yrs it's coated in rust. I'm planning on trying again tomorrow.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas how I can get the nut loose?
Also if I do damage the nut in the process, will I be able to obtain a replacement oem or aftermarket?
Cheers

If you are changing the pipes then cut the pipe near the hose union and put a long socket over the nut. Spanners open up and slip. The socket doesn't.

Cheers for the tip Edward, I'll give that a go.
I'm from Wakefield Cube, I'm sure there's a few places that have them around here then. Might look to get it swapped out as its looking tired.

Try plusgas or a proper penetrating fluid .. WD40 is pants for really bad rust.
