Cheers

What's up with it?

Someone I knew couldn't turn their engine off when they turned off the ignition and removed the key. Is that anything to do with a sensor? Turned out there was a foreign object lurking in the barrel! 'Fluff' I think Mr RAC said!!

Car randomly cuts out, it doesn't stall, but I lose all mechanical power, the electrics are still on.

If I try to restart (whilst slowly grinding to a halt) with the key in the barrel, it doesn't work.

If I take the key out of the barrel and then reinsert, it starts. I don't even have to turn the key, just reinserting it, starts the car mechanically.

It really is odd.
