Hey guys, my car used to only whine in 2nd gear, however its whining/ whirring in all gears now, wondering if it could be a driveshaft issue or the box is dead, sometimes it feels like it bites 3rd gear also.

What size wheels are fitted?

Anything bigger then 15" on the MA gearbox isn't recommended.

Check the gearbox oil level.

Check the driveshaft support bearing.

Find your local gearbox specialist as a quick test drive by an expert can soon tell you if it's the box or something else in the drivetrain.

Alright Thankyou, however I've heard there's no way to check the level without draining it all?

Unscrew the level/top-up cap nut. Keep topping it up with fresh gearbox fluid until it starts to leak out - that's when it's on the level Smile
