Hi all, just started working on my wife's 206 to bring it back to life a bit - I noticed the temperature was displaying "--.c" and the passenger mirror wouldn't adjust.

Upon further investigation it looks like an aftermarket passenger mirror was installed, or maybe even an entire door? Mirror on the driver's side has the orange plug and is wired up as normal, and the passenger mirror has orange too. However, the door wiring has a yellow socket which I can't seem to find any info about. It was found disconnected (as it didn't fit).

Anyone know what's going on here from the pictures?

Wrong door loom for the mirror.

Fit the correct type loom.

Didn't realise the whole loom would need replacing... would the 206CC loom work? This one's a 5 door. The only ones I can find with the right connector are CC - and I'm not sure if wiring lengths are different etc..

They did change the wiring in the mirrors. My 51 plate was the first multiplex version. When I lost a mirror I had to get a loom adapter for it to work. I have some 180 mirrors still sat here that I was going to fit. It was going to be a nightmare though to get them folding so never bothered.

Sorry to jack the thread but if these are for sale Iā€™d be interested, had to settle for lower spec mirrors without the powerfold when I bought mine as they were the only tidy pair I could find

ā€˜04 1.4 8v - Moonstone - No issues
ā€˜54 GTi 180 - Onyx black - Off the road for MOT work

For a person who despises french cars I feel a slight collection coming on

Similarly confused with the door wiring loom. Mine is a 206 SW Verve HDi on a 56 Plate. In the process of converting to electric mirrors, have the mirrors have the correct switch, car loom accomodates the swithces extra connector for the electric mirrors toggle. All that was left was to get the door looms. My car has central locking, electric windows and speakers in door and the connectors through the A pillar is YELLOW, same as the one to the manual wing mirror.

Looking on eBay there are a lot of looms, but most when pictures are show in detail seem to be different colours and not correct to attach into the loom behind the dash. I'm guessing it's a case of just ploughing through all the adds and taking a chance on something that looks correct from the pic. Most sellers are not interested in questions understandably as its just a sale to them.

Big nightmare is that I'm obviously not looking for a like for like due to the mirror upgrade. Am I going about this correctly or is there a simple short cut route to this problem beyond wiring it myself.

Any advise would be great on the loom front Rolling Eyes Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Alan.
There are two types of wiring, I'd think your's is the updated been a 2005, I think they changed it around late 02 early' 03. I'm sure the first ones were white blocks off of the top on my head and the 180 ones I have are yellow been a later model, but I'd have to check. You could buy a harness to adapt the old wiring on the car to new on the mirrors. I had to do this when I had mine knocked off.
If I have a chance tomorrow I'll dig out the 180 mirrors and have a look.
Surprised I remember this as it's been nearly 20 years since I was tinkering with a 206 lol.

What did I miss ???
