I have a 206cc 2L with a duff Built In Systems Interface Module, rather than pay a fortune to a Peugeot dealer to replace it and the rest of the system I see there are a number of companies which offer an exchange/replacement service.
Does any one have any recommendations (or ones to avoid)?

Hi, what's up with your BSI, out of interest?
BBA Reman has been highly praised throughout this forum, but it has gone into administration very recently.
This one explicitly mentions dealing with PSA BSIs: www.actronics.co.uk/bo...ntrol-unit
ECU Testing UK is more about the engine management units.
There are a few more under this post (that I took the above links from), some companies might still be around:) 206info.co.uk/Forums/v...t=bba.html
If your BSI is beyond repair, taking the closest BSI/ECU/keys match from scrappy would be another way about it (you'd have an unmatched VIN, and ensure to take a BSI with lower mileage than yours, so your odometer doesn't shoot up:)

That's a shame, I used them in the past for a 206 ABS unit - they where great to deal with for the service / exchange unit.
As for the BSI module I would get the part numbers of your original one & look around, someone somewhere will know how to repair it.
Remember certain production years of Peugeot Partner / Citroen Berlingo used a lot of the same multiplexed 206 electronic components.
You can cross match part numbers on Service Box to see what other vehicles a part was used on ( I no longer have access )
Any used replacement unit you source, try & get the VIN as well so you can obtain the alphanumeric security code easily.
You can extract the code from the BSI unit but its a hassle that's worth avoiding.

And say you couldn't get hold of the VIN number, multiplexed system communicates it back to you once you plug it into the PP2000.
Another port of call would be Steve at hdi-tuning.co.uk/, he mostly deals with ECUs though, hence a last resort.
