Hey Everyone
I recently bought an RC (Im in Germany) which has seen a hard life. The wiring under the hood is a absolute nightmare with missing connectors, wiring going to nowhere and worn-out insulation.
I need a wiring diagram specific to the RC or 180 - I've searched the forums and come up empty handed.
Does anyone have a source or link to diagrams or an idea where I can buy a manual?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Chris

Hallo!

I commend your determination to repair everything wire-by-wire, but the exact GTi 180/RC engine wiring diagrams are hard to come by, also for example the Haynes manual doesn't cover this particular engine.

I'd suggest to obtain the engine wiring harness (loom) in good working condition, which will come with all the necessary connectors.

Mind also that all harnesses come with many unused connectors due to e.g. missing optional extras, so some of them are just hanging out there by "design":)

Also there isn't a connector, which would fit where it doesn't belong -- there is only one receptacle for each, and they are guarded by the notched tabs within.

Good luck!
If you get stuck, provide us with the RPO number of your RC (and the model year), and more details on any particular part of the wiring that you're at.

2.0 HDi, year 2000 (E's restin')
Red GTi 180, year 2004 (VorTechS' sEXy Beast (being) remasteRed)
Blue GTi 180, year 2004 (in hibernation after endless driving fun in 2019, queued for "cambelt in tight spaces")
Missus' 1.6 16v CC, year 2007 (L-plates to P-plates to NO-plates, but now she wants powwer:))
£50 1.4 HDi, year 2002 (seatless transporter, SORNed, rust needs patching)

Jag S(crapped)- & X-Type
GTC VXR (sold)

Thanks for the reply Sim, I think your suggestion to source a replacement loom is probably the way to go, I wanted to replace the missing/damaged connectors with Deutsch DT connectors, but they are also super expensive, and without a diagram, I'm sure to get something wrong..
I might take you up on your offer of help, by RPO number, you mean the VIN?

Grüße Chris

You can PM me the VIN and I'll be able to extract the RPO (aka RP or DAM) number from it, which identifies the day your car rolled off the conveyor belt, and helps to source the exact parts for it (more info & calc: www.mittns.de/core/org...chner-en/)
Alternatively, your RPO is written on the sticker in the door jamb -- a 5 digit number (can start with 0), followed by two more characters meaning which factory the car was built in.

To dig the wiring further you'll need to identify the wire numbers that you want to repair. Some 180/RC wiring diagrams are available here (scroll for the 2nd post too):
www.peugeotforums.com/...st-2222498

If a wire number is common for all/typical multiplexed Peugeots/engines, you can quickly search for it in this Haynes diagram PDF, all links below point to the same document (unsure, how long they'd would stay active though):
www.jogja206lovers.com...iagram.pdf
www.fabiotnt.com/cars/...SE-ORG.pdf
www.scribd.com/doc/196...ng-Diagram

If you get stuck, post the wire number(s) here, and we'll see where it leads:)
