So over the weekend we've installed the new manifold. Had quite a bit of trouble fitting the new one in but in the end everything worked out well...

As for the gaisn, it might just be a placebo effect but I think the car accelerates a lot easier. It got a bit louder but has a nice sound. Especially when you let go of the throttle Twisted Evil If anybody is interested in the measurements, it's 61mmthick and the hole is 57mm wide (2mm walls) the outer part of entrance to the cat is 52mm wide, so a bit of welding and adjusting was necessary but it's a good foundation for future upgrades regarding the exhaust system.

The original manifold a.k.a. the pretzel Laughing

New tires are home Smile In the end I've opted for the Bridgestone Potenza Re050A, I don't think I'll regret it.

I just need to get the wheels back from the powdercoating and let the summer tire season begin. Twisted Evil

And the wheels are back Very Happy I just need to get the center caps colored as they're plastic and couldn't be powder coated. I'm also getting some spacers for the back wheels so that they will be spot on with the arches Cool

So this is how they look now (they look a bit bright because of the flash, photo nr.3 shows the most realistic color):

I think they'll look nice Twisted Evil Any comments?

That's a very nice car. Wheels look gorgeous.

Those manifolds are a ball ache aren't they? I had life a bit easier because the entire system was changed at once, manifold, cat and cat-back.

Thanks, yes that manifold did make my mechanics swear quite hard Laughing But when finished its so much more pleasing than it would have been if it was easy to fit Very Happy I'm going for a catback this month, I'll probably take the Janspeed GTi180 one so I know we'll have a lot of fun modifying everything so that it fits (again) Laughing
