Yes they are the same set up. IIRC the thickness of the torsion bar and ARB's differ.

Correctamundo, make sure you get an axle that has the same TB's and ARB as your current axle, as thats what most people overlook.

What's happened is the tosrion arm bearings went on my 2.0 hdi and the garage said any axle would fir. So managed to get hold of axle off 2.0 gti only probably was hand break cables different which i change also changed discs pads and flexies. Axle now on car but looks like one of the stub axles is bent as wheel sticking out and not in line. have had major row with supplier whowantss to charge me for sending the axle back. So was hoping that my stub axle off my drum break would fit my new disc break axle obviously not. Any ideas where i could get just the stub axle as main dealers don't sell them seperatly. don't want to buy new arm incase there is something else bent and axle is no good. Any ideas
my first 206

Mesasure them if you can I think the durm brakes have a shorter stubs, if they are the same they do just knock out, but be careful not to swell over the end or damage the threads.
