Everytime i turn my Air con on it is horrible, i can hardley breath

So firstly i checked to see if i had a dead body in the car, but there was nothing.
Secondly i checked my pollen filter and it was fine except for a dead spider!
Thirdly i checked my air filter and that was fine "/

Could anyone suggest what it maybe or if there's anything i could do?

How often do you use the aircon..!? If left unused for some time, it can become mouldy and cause a horrendous smell..!

Most places charge about £50 but it's still abit of a rip off as all they do is take your gas out the put it back in and add a little bit of new oil, but if you've got a leak they have to find it's worth the money as there sometime a real pain to find

Best place is probs halfords to be honest,

best to buy the bottle of gas, with the cleaner,

use the cleaner, then recharge, easy to use,

You can do more damage than good using those DIY recharge bottles.

The smell is caused by a fungal bacteria living in the system. A cleaning canister which you set off in the car whilst the aircon is on usually sorts it out. It acts like a smoke canister and kills off the bacteria.

Mine smells like a skip when i turn it off. Smells like a tramps pants, i have to open the window for like 15 mins, either that or die! i just assumed something like a filter had gotten damp.

Where would i get a 'cleaning canister' from.
