The tyres were awesome. I'm usually the biggest sceptic going, but I would recommend these tyres to anyone. I'm running medium fronts and soft rears and the balance was perfect.....granted i played about with pressures but 28 front and 22 rear cold give me unbeatable grip (meaning a r888 shod sti couldnt stick with me) for about 8-10 laps.
The most surprising improvement was the braking, granted the yellowstuff are fantastic but with the RB5'S on the front it was laughable how late I could brake.

This 206 IS going on a trackday despite it's every effort to stay at home in the garage!

Thats around the time I switch from cars to bikes!
As for the tyres, plenty of people go on about the being remanufactured but the quality seems spot on and longevity doesn't seem bad, drove too and from Blyton, did about 50-60 laps and the fronts are still road legal.
I also had far more grip than an R888 shod GTI-6 and took great delight in passing him several times.

Seems time for a little update.
The car seems sorted after its tappet problem last time out at blyton. A can of wynns engine cleaner, fresh 5w40 fully syn oil and a change to a genuine peugeot filter appear to have done the trick. Its still sat sulking in the garage with flat tyres and muck all over it though. One more essential job to do, the brake pedal goes to the floor so it could probably do with a fluid change.
As its nearing summer and my 'off' season, its more than likely going to get treat to some new seats.... thinking OMP fixed buckets.

Can't belive its nearly 3 months since I have even seen the 206!
Currently its having new braided flexis (black diamond) fitted and filled with Mintex racing fluid, £75. inc fitting.

Next up is the dreaded MOT, should know by the end of the week if its passed.
If all is well its getting some new seats (momo tr-s) and a bar welding across the back to hook the harnesses too.

Been 'off' the trackcar because of my two new vehicle purchases over the past couple of months....

old/new corolla compressor

Triumph street triple R

Unfortunately my new/old Corolla is in need of some TLC so I need to use the 206 as my workhorse for a few weeks.

Why not just pay someone to pass the MOT if it's mainly a track car?

If its just 'picky' things then it will pass, anything significant and I wouldn't want it to just pass tbh.

I'm sure it will be fine but i'm too risk averse to go spending money before i'm sure!

Also I need to spend a few quid on the Comp this month. Tony Banks stainless system (£325) Koni front shocks (£270) and probably £££ getting rid of a squeak from the aux belt/tendioners.

Yeah dangerous things are fair enough. But things like knocks, low tyre tread and brakes are normally just put on advisories

It should be fine, it's only done a couple of trackdays and about 1000 miles since the last MOT and it felt ok after the last onr, well, the front flexis were cracked but thats being sorted.
The only thing concerning me was the warning lights being added to the mot, but thats gone away for a while.
