My lump is KFW and has the dipstick on the left.
What are the differences to KFX and which came first?
Thankyou.

This is the enginge codes and a ruff timeline of when they were put into the cars, The engigne look pretty simlair but the KFX engine can be carb or injection there are two different types of manufactures where the KFW is only injection

I think one will have Cat on manifold, whereas the other has it under the car,
The cat on manifold means the oil filter is pointing upward to the right, so the dipstick is to the left,
On the other the oil filter is directly on the block so the dipstick goes to the right

@LilLew : Thanks very much that does shed some light.
@MattieĀ® : Both KFX & KFW will have manifold mounted Cat.
I know there is an undercar Cat too but I think this is rare on a 1.4
and does not have to do with this parameter.
Cheers people, any further info always welcome.
