double sided tape?
car mats usually have loads of little spikes in the bottom of them to stop them sliding...

I bought a new car that has little clip things.
I'll find you a link as you can retro fit them to other cars.

It has spikey rubber things but they do naff all. I have found some velcro so I will try that first. it will work if it sticks to the carpet.

Go to the market, get a small amount of velcro for about 50p, and stick it to the mat (Not the fluffy but, the other )
It wont move anywhere

When I bought my new orig 206 mats they came with the two screw clips which you screw into the bottom carpet, and lock into the mat.
