hello again.

on rainy days after i have been driving and the car is warm, i notice that when i am stationary some steam/smoke comes from under the bonnet. its not thick smoke just more like steam.

any ideas to what it could be and the reason why?

the car does not overheat just maximum to 90 degrees and then back down.

during dry days no steam can be seen.

thanks

It's nothing to worry about its just the rain buning on the inlets or something that's hot under the bonnet. Smile

As above, maybe its your bonnet insulation getting damp and your engine heating it up? Water on your exhaust system?

Mine started doing this when I removed the fabric under the bonnet, its just water on a hot bonnet.

Or is it rain hitting the radiator and creating steam?

Don't forget it's also colder as well as wet out so would be more noticable. Like you can only see your breath in the cold but not in the summer. It will happen all year round. Just more noticable over winter.
