OK, it's not a car but it's been a bit of a project to get it going... lol. dont think i've posted it up on here...

i've got myself a husky now... Very Happy

picked it up at the start of April. 2005 husqvarna SM510R. 5200 miles, full history, new tyres and just had the top end checked out and a new 6th gear.

what an absolute beast it is! it's about 30-40kg lighter than my KTM 640 and it's more powerful too! it goes like the clappers! lol.

after riding it for a few days i found it had a couple of problems...

was running funny, think the jetting was off abit and it had no electrics so turned out to be a faulty altenator and broken flywheel. dropped the oil and took it to bits to find 4th gear missing a tooth! lol engine came out and went to a angine builder and i took the whole thing to bits and got the frame powder coated put it all back together in the nic of time for a big track weekend!

pics...

the broken bits.

and the strip down...

half a litre of itallian stallions! lol

got the frame powder coated in blue then started building it back up...

nearly done!

finshed! took me a couple of evenings worth of work to get it done but got there in the end. Smile

then done the flid fest track weekend and the bike performed like a dream! soo much quicker than my old KTM bus. Very Happy

then i crashed it on the last session of sunday. Sad though there was no damage but i cracked the flywheel casing and twisted the steering. steering was an easy fix and i used some chemical metal to cover the leak on the casing.

one from my last trackday at teesside.

cant wait to race it next year! Very Happy

thanks for looking. Smile

stu. xx

b******s. In your "had a bad idea" thread is the real photo and the colour of your car is nothing like that above. Crap camara or not. You have adjusted the colour that much you've turned a green tree red.
