I have a chavvy looking 3rd rear light which i didnt know would look chavvy when i brought it.
Was wondering can i colour code it or is it against the law..
Also how hard is it to get apart?

you COULD tint it either using spray or fly eyes kits. that would obviously darken the whole light surface..and can look a lot better. the only other alternative is to get that one out and replace it..i think there's a few things to undo in the bootlid before it can pop out.

again you could get a tint that compliments your cars body colour..but im not too up on the legalities with high level brake lights. I personally wouldnt risk colour coding it with spray paint or the like..I jumped on the fly eyes kit group buy and covered my one in that. Looked 100 times better than standard..cheap and effective mod too. failing that you could just go for the standard red one?

3rd brake lights are exactly that...a 3rd light, not a legal necessity so you could do what you want with it other than changing its colour.

:O, they're not chavvy. I have one lol
To be honest though, it fits with my colour scheme, so it doesn't stand out much.
