I've been looking round for second hand alpine ida-100 or ida-x306 to replace my factory Blaupunkt head unit.
No ever seems to be selling the mounting cage which I believe comes with the units. Has anyone fitted one of these into a 206gti? Do I even need a cage?
All the other wires/harness which are somtimes missing from sales are easy obtainable but can't find much info about the cage.

The mounting cage should come with it :s, its useless to the previous owner, and iirc alpine hu use a different mechanism, so the cages may even be universal, meanign you might be able to use one from another alpine hu. Others will confirm of course if i am right or not lol!

Thanks for your input. It suprises me that they don't have the cage if they have just removed it.
Anyone else know if I would need the cage?
