hiya done a few tests on car driving normally and only averaged 33mpg its only a 1.4 urban and it was a fairly maintained speed just was expecting a bit more is it worth taking to garage to see what they say ?

Meh, i'd say thats ok. I get about 4000 miles from a tank in a 1.1

Im returning 36 in my 1.6, thats at a normal drive,
about 40 grandad style
and 30 boi racer style

I can get mine into the 10s
Average for my little 1.4 8v is 46mpg on a decent run, 40mpg urban.

I got 34mpg today to London and back in my 180, I was well chuffed.

i got a 2litre gti and i have had it as high as 49 mpg and as low as 8 mpg :s

Taking it steady I can get 65mpg, pedal to the floor it still does 35

i would struggle for 40mpg in normal driving.
