Hi All,
I'm in the process of installing electric mirrors to my car,but I have a question,I would like to know it's answer before I buy the mirrors and the switch.
Is there a difference between the Pre-plexed mirrors plug+Mirrors switch and the Multi-Plexed ones??
Because my car is 2006 and have all the harness ready to install mirrors, but the one I'm getting the mirrors from is 2002-2003,so what do you think?

Have you first checked the doors for the correct mirror looms? You should have a white or black plug behind the interior tweeter cover and it should have 7 wires going to it on the drivers side and 9 on the passenger side. The mirrors you buy will need the same connector as the one behind the tweeter cover (providing you have the door looms.) The mirrors dont matter whether they are from a mux or plexed car but the switch does.Do ypu have an auto window feature on your switch at the moment? If so you can get a mirror/window switch with the A on the drivers window but if not then adding an auto switch will just keep blowing the fuse. There are around 5 or 6 different numbered switches but sorry i cant recall what i had in my car.
I believe that the looms in the doors are different between mux and pre but no 100% sure on that and also i think the pin layout on the switch needs to be the same on both the switches ie the old and new
EDIT This might help a bit

There isn't pre and mux with electric mirror wiring, you just have to match plug and loom colours.

Hi Mattie,
Thank you so much for your detailed reply, well I already checked the loom, and i have white plugs on both sides,as you said, but my switch don't have a mirror control,so i need a new switch, and mine don't got the Auto feat. as well,so I know that the new switch with mirror control should be the same as mine now.
But is't possible to have plugs on the doors, behind the tweeter covers, and not to find the plug that is located under the current switch,or should i take the console out to check for it,if it's covered or hidden in the carbet??

Take the switch out and have a good poke around the underneath of the centre console as mine was hidden away under that.

True as in respect of the wiring but not true with the switches as I found out after buying 4 switches. The mux switches have an extra pin on the bottom row.

Well I didn't find anything by pokeing under the switch,i guess it's better to take the center console out and have a better locking, maybe my hand it big and can't fit right in the hole
