I started it, met a pretty scary sight so I stopped....
Got the mushroom clips out, already noticed something fishy, there was white tape all up behind one of them, the "torx" screws (one on each side of the grill) one was the wrong type :s and rusted, the other one was non-existant, instead was a really long screw.... the sides are already unclipped as one side my sister hit a wall, the other side the clips are missing and it is being held on with tigerseal or something, which has come off... In the middle of the grill, where there should be a bolt, that u 'loosen' to slide off the grill, is again, nonexistant...
Nonetheless I removed the 'screw' from the left the 'torx' from the right, and unclipped the right side of the plastic grill as the left wouldnt come off lol, then the little clips holding the grill with the badge in, the left one came out, it was loose, the right one was putting up a fight, at this pointt, I noticed a couple of holes, went inside to check, they were also on the new bumper, looked at my guide, i was supposed to be removing bolts from them, again? nonexistant, these are the torx ones under the badge grill.
Anyway before carrying on, i decided to have a better look around, found similar things everywhere, looked underneath for bolts, found empty holes, and instead, lots and lots of screws just screwed in anywhere....
Thought it best to just stop here tbh, was thinking may convince dad to sell the car, then thought, since I have the bumpers, why not, buy all the proper bolts etc. and just do it myself properly... looks like its been in an accident and repaired really badly tbh. Even the paintjob on the existing bumper is naff, really pimply the finish doesnt match to the rest of the body at all!!! *sigh*

Not good, however the bolts are fairly cheap from pug, and once you have them and bolt it together 'as it should be' you wont have no worries
This is one of the reasons I ALWAYS do my own work to the car if I can lol!

Yeah, really made me feel sick to start with, just thought lets get rid of the damn thing, it just makes you wonder what else is/has been bodged on it? - I mean, what kind of an @SS fits a freaking bumper with screws!! Isn't there anything that can be done to just check it to the max, to check for these things? Check the whole car to the micrometer to see if its been bodged in any other way?!
EDIT: Im going to make sure that when I do eventually sort this garbage out, i take lots of before and after pics lol! "before: no nuts, after: two nuts" =]

I feel your pain mate, before I got my car it failed an MoT for the lower arms / wishbones on both sides.. Found out the other day as I was doing a pre-MoT check over that they were replaced with parts OLDER THAN THE DAMN CAR.. (This was yesterday, my mot was booked for today!)
Noticed a nice big split in one of the bush's = instant MoT Fail.. So I took it for he mot as it was too late to cancel and I called and they said bring it anyway and we'll check it.
Got there and they said yup its defo a fail, but because I asked them about it they checked that first and never charged me as they didnt even mot the car..
Thankfully my current one doesnt expire until late december so, just had to pay out ~£80-90 for parts which will hopefully arrive soon so I can get them fitted lol!

Yeahhh, I know about that, read your thread, scrapyard parts eat your heart out. I think thats what happened with mine, front ender, scrapyard bumper, sprayed in garden, chucked on with screws "job done, lets sell the damn thing"
Do you know what the badge-grill torx screws screw into? because I think whatever it "was" is gone or destroyed, because the screw that is being used on the left of mine, is just a really long one thats just screwing barely into a bit of black plastic thats lurking behind...
