im looking to buy a 206 gti and its ha done 66 ooo miles on a 51 plate but the women doesnt n if th cambelt has been changed ust wondered wat sort of milage they should be changed at cheers

on the 180 i think its 80k miles or 5 years im guessing im going to be similar for the age part so yes now

yeah tat was my thoughts bease iv got a 306 and they need changing after 50 000 so i thouht it would roughly be the same for the 206 il have to phone the women and ask her to look through the receipts and service booklet to see if it ha been done

Should be about £200 at most independent garages...

Hardly any 206's qualified for the scrappage scheme.

hardly see any 98/99 206 on the road lol

probably scrap well before the scrappy scheme came lol

Its 80k or 5 years - whichever comes first so it is in dire need changing.

Having said that I left mine until around 95k to get it done.
If she doesn't have a receipt for a £300(ish) job then i'd say its not been done.

I have a 1.4 sitting at my house, bought it for £250 to learn in just before i turned 16
Its never had the cambelt changed, done just over 146,000 miles, only thing i have done to it is change oil, never even changed the oil filter, I still mess around in it and its still going :L

But on both of my GTis I got them changed way before the recomended interval
