I bought this car 2months ago, an 05 plate Gti 180 in Black with 28k on the clock in very good condition inside an out for a price hard to turn down.
First thing on the list of things to do was to order and get these fitted asap

AP Coilovers. Ive never had coilovers on any of my cars, just suspension kits or lowering springs, but i thought i would take the plunge and give them a go on the 180, i heard good things about them from the VW boys so they were ordered. I got them fitted asap and they have not let me down, the quality is top notch, easy to fit, no messing around. The ride is also suprisingly smooth to say how far it was dropped at the front, and i havent noticed a massive difference in ride quality, just better handling and a million times better stance.

On the second picture it does look lower at the back than it actually is, thanks to my drive.

Whilst it was at the garage i also got a k&n panel filter fitted after being told these were more thean enough instead of a full induction kit. I also had a diagnostic and a general check up done to see if there were any faults or problems.
First thing that needed doing was the brakes all round, so these were bought

Brembo discs and pads all round.
Then secondly on the list of things needed was a new solenoid for the vvt as the vvt basically wasnt working, a common problem i was told, so that was ordered from peugeot.
And finally new tyres were needed especially for the winter months so new Falkens were ordered.
The difference from the car i bought 2 months ago is awesome, and i am really starting to enjoy my 180 Very Happy Although the snow has a put a bit of a halt on how much

As she stands, will try and get a better quality pic in the day when its not snowing

This was my first gti Smile

b******s. In your "had a bad idea" thread is the real photo and the colour of your car is nothing like that above. Crap camara or not. You have adjusted the colour that much you've turned a green tree red.

. The kit altogether came to £358 it was from the Ap website, although I do believe the distributor is venom motorsport. Well worth the money in my opinion Smile

Not too sure on future plans to be honest, not really sure where to go, any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated?? I use it as my daily, and I don't have a shed load of money to throw at it, so I'm trying to think of simple things for the time being. At some point I wouldn't mind to give a track day ago :D.

. I paid £3300 for it, which with the mileage and it being in top condition I thought was a very good price.

Good price for a lovely car. I will resist the urge to use this as part of the sticking it to the 138 boys who think 180's are overpriced.
Oh crap, to late, I've posted it! Lol.

Nice looking car, if you're old GTi is anything to go by, should end up very nice indeed.

& it seems he's gone from a 138 to a 180 rather than spend money on the 138 Very Happy
I promise I won't use this against those who think it's better to mod a 138 rather than buy a 180.
s**t!! I've done it again, lol.
