I was going to suggest door membranes too. I bought a Golf once and first time I put the hose on to wash it, it literally filled up both front footwells. Realised now when we went to see it, and then went back to collect, the chap had it in his garage! Both door membranes were completely shredded. Trouble is people take them off to work on the door, speakers etc, then think they aren't important and don't stick them back. We made replacements out of thick clear polythene and used spray-on "carpet" glue to stick them on. Solved the problem for us.

Also had a heater matrix go once. You'd know if it was this because if you were losing enough to cause a puddle, you'd be having to top up water in your coolant header tank. I also had steam coming out of my dashboard - rather Shocked

when you initially mistake it for smoke!

Haha love the steam thing! Havnt had to add any coolant at all, makes me want to check the door membrane then! So do I simply close the door with someone inside and pour water at the base of the window...or do I open the door, pour the water and check for it pouring from the bottom of the door? Open the door wide open and stand facing the inside of the door and reach over the window frame to pour the water while viewing the bottom and sides of the door card to see if any comes out. Oh yes watch your feet because they might get wet!

yeh think tis quite common on pugs, throught the aeiral, assuming its on front, myold 106, dads 206 and friends 306 all do it
