I got up this morning to go to work and my car won't start. I've had a few issues with the car recently but they weren't too big and usually sorted themselves out pretty quickly.
Problems.
1. Sometimes the car will shudder when driving. I believe this may be down to either 1 or 2 spark plugs not firing as the car loses power.
2. When this happens the idle is very erratic once stopped and the car has been known to cut out.
3. Once in the car and starting up the doors lock for no reason.
I've been reading through a few threads on here and it seems that it might need a bsi reset. Would this be right? Also, would you recommend the spark plugs being changed as this hasn't been done in a while due to a lack of proper servicing.
The car is a 51 plate 206 gti which I believe is multi-plexed.

Yeah I'll print it off and give it a go. Is there anything else worth checking before I give this a go this evening?

So I'm going to check the coil pack tonight as it seems that this might be the problem. Then if that doesn't work I'll contact my mechanic and ask him to reset the bsi.
