Hi there...
I have had this 206 for a couple of months, just a wee runaround car so doesn't get driven too much.
Anyway, my missus took the car to work on Thursday and it was fine. She went to open it Saturday morning, and the key remote wouldn't work. So she opened it manually and the alarm went off, as it should!
Anyway, when you now put the key in the ignition and turn it, nothing happens at all... not even a dashboard light, not a click, nothing!
I have had the battery out for a charge, had another car 'jump' it but nothing what so ever, as said, not even a dashboard light.
Is this an immobiliser problem? Or something simple which I am missing?
Thanks.

Did the alarm shut up when the ignition was turned on?
If it did then the immobiliser is working fine

Ai, alarm stopped when key was turned in the ignition.
So earth strap it is, hopefully. Sounds good, I'll just have a quick Google of the earth strap!
By the way, everything is dead, not a single light o function is working!
Thanks peeps.

Ok. Just had a look under the bonnet with me wee torch. The earth on top of the gearbox is intact and secure. Anywhere else I should look? Had a route around but nothing caught my eye other thean the headlight earths.
Only had the car a couple of month, how bizarre that a little earth cable can cause a whole car to shut down!!!
Please point me in the right direction of this dodgy earth!
Thanks.

So you can see the earth strap where it attaches to the gearbox and inner wing?

I can see an earth cable on top of what I believe to be the top of the gearbox, I couldn't see another though. But I guess you have just given the location of it away to me!!! Do I need to get underneath to see the wing one?
Ta.

You can see the earth cable at the left hand side of the picture just to the left of the 3 brake pipes. The earth cable also has a white label on it.
