Very true!.........the brake shoes should always be renewed if they've been soaked in brake fluid

oh dear, best get it checked out then when the garage opens on tuesday, dont really know a lot about brakes its just what came up on the mot so i'll go get them told haha

had her out properly today, light seems to stay on for a while now and again but then go off, tends to flicker and come on when turning sharp corners, hitting pot holes and braking but not stayin on for as long as it was first time...

Did you check the brake fluid level? (as previously suggested)

yeah i checked it, it's spot on, nothing wrong there so its looking as though i need my brakes doing =(
