Hi can anyone one tell me if the Rolland garros mirrors would have the folding function on my glx preplex. Would it be a case of plugging the mirrors and switch in and away i go

It depends if the extra wiring is there on your car.

I know the later multiplexed GLX do have the folding mirror wiring, no idea about yours.

Take the trims of the doors to get a look at your electric mirror plugs & see if there's any spare wires on the CAR side of the looms.

You need 2 extra wires on each door to run folding mirrors.

You also need the folding switch. I have never seen a repair kit for the mirrors.

I have a set of mirrors and the switch but one of the mirrors doesn't fold so I am hoping to strip it down. But I was wondering if the motor is broken is there anyway of replacing without buying a new mirror

IIRC the folding mirrors are around £150 each from the dealers. They only stock multiplex ones now so you'll also need a wiring adapter at around £40 each IIRC.
