hey guys,

I've tried searching and couldn't really find anything specific to the problem I'm having. Basically on the way home today out of the blue I couldn't put the car in 1st or 2nd gear. Where 1st should be it was going into 3rd and where 2nd should be it was going into 4th.

Even in 3rd, 4th and 5th the gear stick moves freely as if it isn't really attached to anything. I'll be taking it to a garage tommorow but does anyone have any idea what the likely problem is?
