As far as i am aware the remote locking bit can be programmed at home |
NOT without the correct diagnostic equipment it cant
To code a new / replacement fob to the car it has to be hooked up to Peugeot Planet or other suitable diag kit.
The only thing an owner can do is RESYNC a previously working fob that stops working after a battery change / battery disconnection
I repeat, you CANNOT code a replacement / new fob with the resync instructions, your wasting your time even attempting it

Ok cheers for that. I shall make a trip to my friendly mechanic again and see if we can sort that out.
Appreciate all your help. Thank you.

You got + 12 volts with the ignition on at the white 2 pin plug on the reverse light switch connector plug?
You then tested at the rear cluster? ? ?
Its such a simple circuit & ive never heard of a BSI failure of the reverse light circuit yet.

BSI must get a signal from reverse light switch, how else would the rear wiper in reverse function work

I recently had another engine put in my 206 gti 180 and now the reverse lights don't work as well as the auto rear wipe linked when in reverse. Have tried and tested all the above mentioned but still nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need reverse lights anyway.
