Anybody changed there bottom engine mount and is it a DIY job? Car is a 2.0hdi, i was looking to just change the whole bracket over rather than replace to bush.

Im not bad at mechanicing but bear in mid i only ahve a trolley jack and axle stands, is this something i could do? any advice appreaciated.

the mount is pressed into the bracket unless you have got a whole lot or have a 2nd hand one

they is 2 11mm bolts they have to slide out and i think 4 or 5 13mm bolt they go,s into the block, its quite easy on a ramp never done it on the ground tho

drive shaft has to be removed and you will lose the gearbox oil so make sure you have some to hand

I going to have to jack her up and see how much room i have got to play with i think!

This is pretty much right, drive shaft does have to be removed.

When i did my kierons for him to remove the old bush out of the bracket can be a right a**e of i job.

So as a diy job might be abit hard to get the old bush out by your self.
