We are 99.9% certain it will work correctly on a non plexed 206 if the headlamp switch is changed along with the connector plugs for the headlamps.
I dont know anyone thats tried it, might be worth giving it a shot 
Just make sure its the double optic type headlamp stalk.

why dont you just buy a wiring harness and do it properly instead of trying to cut corners in the hope it could possibly, potentially, maybe...perhaps work?

He doesn't have any connectors, so it would be pointless as he has nothing to plug them in to

Wiring diagram says it should work:
If the correct double optic headlamp stalk is fitted
&
The headlamp connector plugs are changed for the correct type.
