could do with a little help. my 2.0 hdi is down on power and hits a flat spot after 3 grand. has been like this as long as i had it and my friend noticed it the other day when he was driving it. any help would be much appriciated. have a feeling there is something wrong with the turbo, or something stopping the turbo from boosting propperly. thanks very much again

stock turbo kick in after 1.5K rpm, full boost after 2K rpm. it is normal if you don't feel much power after 3K

What He Said

I shift at 3k revs as the turbo's run out of puff by then, think it's normal on the 2.0l HDi. Mines been like that since I got it Smile

Ive got s 2.0HDi.... mines the same between 1.5k - 2.5k is the strongest... after that its dead... its got pure mid range pull... crap acceleration and okish top end... im thinking a rempap will sort that out...but its a good £350-400!

What the hell is a rempap???

Mine is the same as above. Don't think u have an issue as long as it boosts in between the above rev range

No longer a 206 owner

Does the car pull well on a cold day?

On a cold day my hdi is quick enough, but like you I have little power after 3k on warmer days

a remap will not sort that out.

the peak torque is still between 2K and 2.5K
