just finished reading this thread after about an hour......really good read and the car is coming along really nicely, i think the nimrods would look sweet in hot pink, keep up the good work as this will be an awesome SW when finished

Cheers for the comments guys..! I didn't end up buying the 15" Nimrods in the end as I bought a different set. Matt will know what these are, along with a few others who are friends with me on Facebook.

I'm not going to be unveiling them untill they are on the car properly or the ride height has been setup for these wheels.

But tried one on yesterday just on it's own and I have chosen to take the arches off as they didn't suit the car with the wheels on imo. Also I tried the wheels on with 20mm spacers and they were sitting out really wide but still within the arches which I'm surprised by, overall they were sitting at ET-10. But sat perfectly with just 5mm shims on the back.

So my sports arch extension are now for sale...once they're sold I'll be able to buy some more stuff for the car that I'm looking for.

Took both of the mirror caps and rubbed them down to bare plastic. From there I applied; 2 even coats of plastic filer primer. 2 even coats of enamel white primer. and finally 2 even coats of candy pink enamel paint Just waiting for the paint to harden so I can get a couple of coats of enamel clear laquer and get them finished up Let me know what you think.

1 Mirror cap finished...1 to complete will get better up close pics on the dslr tomorrow morning as it's raining now so hopefully I'll have some beading go on as I've polished and hd wax'd it Also got the bolts come through for the new wheels, ordered a set of mcgard locking wheel nuts and finally ordered some bright pink rim tape to wrap the lips of the new wheels in

A change of plan...

I've stripping the mirror caps back to plastic and wrapping them in leather so they tie in with all the rest of the leather stuff on the outside of the car.

Also I've bought the both pipes for the intercooler setup. All I need to so now is buy all the pipe work and silicone hose + have the inlet pipe modified.

Then going to be phoning around and finding out where I can go for a straight through exhuast system with decat where they actually mandrel bend all the pipe work. Once the cars back and vic tested etc I will be getting the car remapped and upping the boost abit.

Well time for updates...at 14 days of owning my new wheels I sold them on Wednesday after finally deciding that I would have had to go down a hellalot just to get them to suit.

The wheels that I had hiding from all apart from a few; Ruffy, Vanman etc were 8Jx15" Schmidt Modern Lines which had an offset of ET10.

I had fitted them to the car and they just weren't gunna suit the car with it sitting at 80/90mm, I couldn't go any lower because of the GT bumper.

A couple of pics fitted to the car;

Abit gutted as I wish they would have been 16" but guy looked at the once and was gone of 5mins of coming lol.

Also I finished off the centre caps for the Nimrods;

fitted the one of them into the wheel and thought it looked quite cool and different...whats everyone else think;

Also these will be going hopefully today. Notorioushaz off here has arranged to come and have a look at them a little later on so if they sell then I'll be buying a new set of wheels.

Finally I had a parcel come through the post today and inside were the 406 intercooler conversion pipes Very Happy

So just need to find everything I need, buy it, and get it all fitted once the cars back Smile

This is the first time I've properly read through the thread and got to say it's going to look awesome! Know what wheels you want next? Glad you've gone with the inter cooler root, will have genuine grunt behind it

I'm looking at a few different sets of wheels in 16" / 17" sizes. Wheels I'm looking at are MAM MT1 (purely because I miss my old set Sad

), MAM MT2 (purely because I love multispoke wheels and with the dish it makes then that much better), 2-piece Schmidt TH Lines (just because they look p0rn..!) and a few others. Obviously I'd take suggestions from other members but please don't let these be anything to do with a 9" rear wheel purely because I don't have the money to do that and it's not the route I wanna take or Lenso BSX.

I wouldn't have been going down the intercooler route if these parts hadn't come up tbh as I know how hard they are to come by. But with both parts coming up at exactly the same time and at the prices they came up at I thought might aswell jump on the band wagon.

Also looking for companies that do custom exhaust but use mandrel benders for the pipework and I'm looking to go with a 2.5"/3" decatted turbo back system with hidden backbox. I'm thinking more 2.5".

Just a few small updates; Got myself the last can of contact adhesive I will EVER buy to do a few things. First up was; 1 leather fuel cap cover. a pair of leather mirror cap covers. Should go nicely with the leather side strips and also the boot strip that I've already done. Let me know what you think.

im loving this leather look mate. i was thinking of doing some myself to go with my bra but dont no how it will last left out all the time,.300 miles aweek
